Auto Basics

Auto basic is just that basic . Absolute crap job . Nearly had to fix everything again myself not to mention the over priced bill at the end ,never again , and I tell everyone not to go there.

I think Jason knows his stuff but some of his crew need more supervision, last clutch job on my Pathfinder was a complete and utter shambles, they had my car for over a week having broke the crankshaft position sensor and fitting an incompatible flywheel, they ended up re-machining the old flywheel - which had already been re-machined on previous clutch 100k prior so was well past its used by date. It literally smoked and squealed on the first hillstart, was drivable but hill starts continued to be extremely messy ever since, took it straight back they denied there was any issue and continued denial over subsequent services, that clutch very literally went close to getting me killed a couple of times before I got it replaced this week with only 40k on it. The guys that opened it up couldn't believe the mess they found.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic. The car was turned in to get a fuel injector pump refurbished. I asked for pricing and time a few times along the way but, It took him 6 weeks to send an invoice the same day as he said we could pick it up, of almost 6 grand. I questioned it and without hesitation he took the price down to 3,7 k which is super strange. Took the car to another mechanic and the job wasn’t done and he had caused a gas leak that wasn’t there prior to being turned in to them aswell. When we came to pick up the car they were very rude aswell and not friendly at all. No understanding from their side what so ever. Do not use this mechanic if you want clarity and service. 0/5 stars.

Great found out root cause and solution. I went to check up with Mazda Philips and Belco. Both have the incorrect fixing and very expensive cost. I appreciated that Jason helped us out. I will service the car with Autobasic. Thank you!!

Recommended by another diesel shop for help with a sick car, quoted me the price and finished up just $10 over. Communicated options and recommendations as we progressed. Very happy with the service and going back without hesitation.

Travellers from Tasmania with diesel leaking from filter, phoned at 7am and fully repaired by 9am. You can't get that type of service anywhere. Highly recommended. Thanks again Jason and the team
