Mr Gill holds a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology, a Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management), a Diploma of Business, a Diploma of Business (Frontline Management), a Diploma of Management, and a license for car.

Gill Auto Care offers free pick up and drop off of the car for local customers, and roadside assistance for ongoing customers without charging any fee. Services include standard service, log book service, suspension system repair, all electrical inspection and repair, safety check, wrong fuel recovery, pre-sale support, pre-purchase inspection, car wash and car detailing service.

Mobile mechanical work brought directly to customers across Cairns and the northern beaches is the core of this operation, with a fully equipped van carrying out servicing and repairs on site. More than one customer describes the setup as clean and well organised, and the convenience of avoiding a workshop visit comes up often. The work covers logbook servicing, diagnostics, air conditioning repairs, radiator and cooling system attention, battery supply and fitting, oil changes and pre-purchase inspections, with one account noting that a troublesome automatic transmission ran smoothly and shifted correctly again after a service.

More than one review highlights punctuality, with jobs started on schedule and completed promptly, while pricing is consistently called fair and honest. Communication is another recurring theme, with customers kept informed as a fault was traced and given detailed written findings from an inspection. Gill himself is named in most accounts and is described as professional, approachable and willing to explain what was found and why it mattered, including fitting in an urgent job when the day was already booked out. That reliability and readiness to stand behind the work keeps people coming back.
