They were patient with me and took their time to look at my vehicle and offer a solution without trying to add additional costs or problems (our fear when going to any mechanic). They offered me coffee and a place to sit if needed, and talked me through their findings. The price was fair for the part and labor. Thank you both! Also, I had rung the day before and the lady on the phone was also AMAZING! Kind and helpful.
Avoid this business if you are getting a Roadworthy Certificate. I dropped my car off strictly for a standard QLD safety inspection. Not only did they fail it on incredibly questionable items (like a "sweating" gearbox seal that wasn't actually dripping, and a passenger window that works perfectly fine from its own door), but they actually carried out unauthorized repairs without my permission. When they contacted me, they tried to hand me a bill that included $112.50 for a ball joint and extra for a brake light—work they took it upon themselves to do without ever calling me for authorization or providing a quote first. (For context, the car was fully serviced just two weeks prior). I explicitly refused to pay for mechanical work I never agreed to. Using a mandatory safety inspection as an excuse to do unapproved work and then demand payment is a predatory, dodgy business practice. Save yourself the headache and take your vehicle to an honest mechanic who respects consumer law and actually asks before spending your money.

Can't say enough about the fantastic service provided by the Car Doctor. We were just passing through town when we developed car issues. They fitted us in straight away even though it was a busy Friday. Their diagnosis was spot on and we were back on the road soon after lunch. They are very very professional, efficient and the price was right as well. The best part of the whole ordeal was the fact the mechanic rang us late that afternoon to check that we had made it to our destination.brilliant follow up. I would highly recommend this business if you are in or passing through Toowoomba.
