I paid $200 for an oil service, but all they did was add oil without changing the filter or draining the old oil that was left. I was very disappointed with the service because a proper oil change should always include removing the old oil and replacing the filter. I don’t think this was professional and I wouldn’t recommend this garage.
Very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to provide me with a temporary solution to close my window at no charge as I need to order the part.
Exceptional, I simply cannot fault the service and care I received. Phone call made late Sunday over the long weekend, this wasn’t an issue arranged to meet the Monday morning 8am(public holiday) to diagnose found the issue and fixed it, I was back on the road driving 700km home within the hr car completely fixed alot less cost than any normal mechanic ive been too, I’ve had more expensive simple services. Highly recommend.
The older gentleman who came to see me was wise and clearly knew a thing or two about cars. However, it’s clear when someone has lost interest in what they do. It was clear also that helping me wasn’t of great importance. He came. He threw a few ideas out, none of which were right. Said it needed to go to a mechanic with a shop. I gave him 80 bucks and he left. Not great but you always panic when you ring a mobile mechanic and just want to get on the road. You live you learn. He’s a nice bloke though… at a glance.
Recently I had my Toyota Celica complete aircon system replaced by Paul. From the start Paul was fantastic, professional and ended up cheaper than he quoted He doesnt put band aids on the problem like some mechanics, he does the job properly! Top bloke and recommend highly his work
The employee who came around to my brother's address post haste was the only positive feedback rating I will give graciously to AAA. I rang him because I had to get back to Mackay the next day however after he attempted to diagnose my car he got nothing despite my Toyota Parado lacking power. He replaced a hose which transferred my engine oil through a filter outside my engine block near the ECG/ERG plug and I regained some power back about 75% he said. But then he told me that I need a new car and that I need to decarbinize my engine or replace the engine and gearbox which in both cases would cost me a mint. He said that my car which is just under 400,000kms is done but I disagreed. He gave me a number to a mechanic which is his good friend but he told me to tell the mechanic that he/AAA employee to contact him so they can both discuss the problem with my car. I received a phone call from the mechanic later that day and was told that it was going to be a huge job to decarbinize my engine and it was going to cost me over $3000 just to decarbinize my engine without labour and the mechanic would have to have my car for a week. I wasn't convinced by whatever the AAA employee and the mechanic spoke about and their conclusion. My brother and I did some research and there were several mechanics in the Sunshine Coast area that would do the job for $1200 - $1500 including labour and have my car for a day. So in the end my brother and I figured that it was a good mate/AAA employee helping his mechanic friend make some money off me and between themselves. I was very VERY dissatisfied with the outcome of AAA's assessment and treatment to try and make a buck from me through the mechanic he suggested. In the end my brother took me to a mechanic mate of his who told me that all I need is to get a major service and replace the part that the AAA employee replaced the hose on and everything should be fine. So when I got back to Mackay that's what I done and now I have full power back and it cost me $1349.00 with labour and had my car for a day. My advice is definitely do not hesitate to contact a few mechanics for quotes and definitely do not go through Sunshine Coast's AAA mobile mechanics/diagnostic's. Because he/they will send you to their good mechanic mate who will make a mint from you. I was nearly tricked into losing alot of money. That's why I gave them the rating I have!
Paul was able to diagnose my air con problem right away. I called on a Friday, booked the Monday and arrived on time. I would recommend AAA Auto anytime. Thank you.
