This North Melbourne workshop is described by reviewers as providing itemised invoices that separate labour and parts from a list of any additional wear and damage found during inspection, giving customers a clear view of what was done and what might need attention later. Mitchell is mentioned repeatedly for showing customers old parts and explaining brake, tyre and fluid work in plain terms before proceeding. Complimentary extras such as a car wash are noted in several reviews, alongside comments that pricing sits in the mid-range but reflects the thoroughness of the inspection.

4.6 / 5 · 513 total|| edit: initially had some apprehensions about this place but they handled my feedback and request for some revision really well and amicably. i was very impressed with the quality and care of the service provided by the end. || i will be calling them in the next few days to discuss why it’s such a low review. it might increase. i brought my car in for a single tyre replacement as one had burst and was running on a space saving tyre. they did fit me in with very little notice which i appreciated. i made it clear i only wanted the wheel changed and nothing else done. they power washed my car, without asking me, which i thought was super strange and odd. i guess a nice gesture for some people but to me it felt really weird. if they had asked i would have politely declined. by doing this they ripped back a sizeable amount (under a palm size but noticeable) of paint from my hood. i did know there was some chipped paint, hence why i don’t pressure wash my car and would have asked them not too. and they were relatively flippant about the damage, just saying i had pre-existing paint chips. so again, why did they pressure wash it without asking me. they also vacuumed the inside of my car, again, maybe a nice gesture for some people but i had told them i was on a road trip and only wanted my tyre changed, so i had a lot of gear in my car which they had to move around a lot to vacuum. made me feel a bit weird they had done that. the new tyre was also pumped up to 38psi, and they pumped all my tyres up to this pressure. i’ve always been advised 32psi is ideal and it set my cars tyre pressure warning systems off which was a bit concerning, so i had to pull into a servo to release the pressure. the actual service was nice. the customer fronting guy was friendly. i was just quite put off by those things. i’m hoping to call and clear it up.
Care plus- absolutely true! Prompt booking, thorough service within my work hours, professional communication before, during and after and the wonderful surprise of my crumb filled runaround looking like new when I picked it up thanks to a complimentary clean. Delighted.
Amazing service. Michael was really thorough and honest assessing my car when I brought it in for a service and went above and beyond repairing my car.
So grateful to have stumbled across Care Plus! I took my 2000 Subaru Forester to get the clutch disc replaced and was quoted a very reasonable price compared with some of the others in the area. Michell explained everything in layman's terms and let me know about another issue with the clutch fork before proceeding. I was offered a complimentary service car for the duration of the repair and a complimentary car wash of my Subaru. Additionally they provided a list of issues they had noticed while repairing her. The attention to detail and communication here is above any mechanic I've dealt with. I will definitely be a return customer. Thank you Michell, you are a delight, and to the whole team at Care Plus Auto, love your work!
Exceptional experience with Care Plus Auto Service! I recently purchased a second hand car and was apprehensive about taking it in for an inspection. Care Plus Auto checked all items I asked for and Mitchell went above and beyond in explaining in detail, the service, the next steps and any issues that arose with the vehicle. I will definitely be servicing my vehicle here for the duration of its life. Reliable, trustworthy and transparent.
Thank you for the quality service. I'll preface by saying that the price is not the cheapest out there, it's mid-range, but, it is still highly worth going to: Care Plus. Why? Because they put extra care into inspecting the health of the car as a whole, with high attention to detail. The quality reflects in the breakdown of the invoice given, after the service is complete. The 1st page is an itemised list of all the labour, checks, materials and costs. Whilst, on the 2nd page, is an itemised list of all of the things that are damaged, missing, or worn out, on the car at it's current state, as compared to a it's original factory version. So this list on the 2nd page, is helpful to keep in mind, when making future repairs/replacements. Another reason to go to Care Plus, is that they also add a complimentary car wash and detail, as part of the service, which is always a wonderful much-loved suprise to see, at pick-up. So, by knowing that the car has been left in good hands, and all the checks have been done to standard. The price is more than worth it, in peace of mind, at the end of the day. As saftey on the road is paramount. After the service, my car is now running smoothly. I feel it is now safe enough, to go ahead and teach my teenage family members how to drive. So, thank you Care Plus, once again, for being transparent in pricing and above all, doing a decent job, that I can trust.
Care plus auto are the only mechanic I will go to. They’re fantastic at explaining everything they do with the car and where prices are coming from in layman’s terms so you feel informed and not taken advantage of. They aren’t here to “make money” from their customers because they value their customer loyalty and it shows. I’ve recommended them to anyone who needs their car serviced, looked at or become roadworthy. I was quoted waaayyy too much by different mechanics before seeing care plus auto and despite them being the opposite side of the city to me, I will continue to be returning my car there.
