4.7 / 5 · 3406 totalI initially chose Kismet Mechanical because of their 4.8 star rating and many positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was told the diagnosis would take one day, but my car was kept for two days. I paid $257 for a diagnostic inspection to identify the cause of a squealing noise. After two days, I was given a repair estimate of $2,000–$3,000. When I asked for a detailed explanation of the fault, the receipt only stated that the rocker cover needs replacing. I was not given a clear breakdown of the labour, additional parts, or why the total estimate was so high. I wasn’t expecting a cheap repair, but I did expect a professional diagnosis, a detailed explanation, and a transparent quotation that justified the cost especially after paying for the diagnostic inspection. I left feeling that the diagnosis lacked detail and that the quote was not transparent enough for me to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the reputation that led me to choose this workshop.
I went here at the beginning of the year, the owner assaulted me when i asked why the invoice was so expensive when they didn't do any work to my car. He yelled at me grabbed me and threw me against a cabinet, with two of his workers trying to pull him off. He is psychotic and insane. I had to call 000 reported everything to the police. Stay away from this business, these people are crooked and should be in jail ! If I had the power I would shut down this business and lock the owner up so nobody has to go through what I went through. His behaviour is disguising, someone with that kind of temperament should not be a part of our society. I have all the records of the police report from the time of the incident for proof. I can see many real reviews reporting the same treatment, amongst the 3000 fraudulent 5 star reviews (no business has this many reviews to begin with). Please contact me if you had a similar experience and would like to make formal complaint about this business and/or make a class action lawsuit. This is unacceptable and the owner must not be allowed to get away with this, we don't want this in our community ! Shame on you, karma will come back to get you.
Highly recommend! He checked over my car and was honest, thorough, and took the time to explain everything to me. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but I felt really comfortable knowing my car was in good hands. Great service, friendly, and professional. I’ll definitely be back in the future. I went to Kismet to get my car in order after moving back from the NT and the service was 10/10. Sanjay was an awesome help, super transparent and reasonable with his pricing. Can't thank him and the boys enough for such a seamless experience. Will definitely be back!!
Excellent yearly service experience. The team was professional, efficient, and communicated clearly throughout the process. My car was serviced on time and is performing great. I appreciated the honest advice and friendly customer service. Highly recommended. Overall, it was a hassle-free experience, and I would gladly recommend this service centre to others.
The team at Kismet were amazing! I took my car in to get a pink slip and it was done in 1/2hr while I waited in their waiting room. The car was then driven out of the driveway for me, making it quick and easy for me to get to my next destination. The team was professional and polite- I cannot recommend them enough. Knowledgeable mechanics and they were able to identify the issue quickly, which I appreciate. However, they gave me an appointment for 2 PM for an urgent problem, and I still ended up waiting more than an hour before my car was checked. In the end, I was told it was only a minor looseness that needed tightening, and I was charged $186. I fully respect professional knowledge and understand mechanics deserve to be paid, but personally I felt the pricing was quite excessive for the amount of work involved. Just leaving this review so future customers can keep the pricing in mind before proceeding.
