Extremely expensive service. Paid $350 for an oil change and the owner seems to be allergic to being helpful, he is rude and loves wasting your time. We were asking for some basic information on the service history of our car and he seems to take pleasure in making it as difficult as possible, even after we had (for some reason) gotten permission from the previous owners at his request. All this for him to tell us that actually, he couldn’t access the records and after probably 4 or 5 calls back and forth. Only when I told him I would take the car for the service elsewhere, he showed us the service history. There are far better options in Townsville. Extra star because the service was carried out quickly and seems to be ok. Again it was only an oil change for $350.

Recently got a repair job done here on my car. I, personally, didn't have a problem with interactions with members of staff. My car was repaired for what I took it in for and have had no issues with the work undertaken. Only downside is I found pricing grossly expensive.

I have been taking my cars to L M Motors for about thirty years. George runs an efficient, accurate & honest business with detailed listing of the work undertaken. If George does not know what is wrong & how to fix it, then no one else can. He is the man for the job.

Had our ute serviced here recently and was quite disappointed. I had a basic service and a couple other things and overall that all seems to have gone fine - which is why I have given the 2 stars instead of 1. BUT... I cannot stress just how rude, unhelpful and disinterested the staff were. Would not recommend. Edit: I noticed you have now replied to my review trying to make it seem like it was my fault... so I'd like to clear this up. The list I gave you was mostly just the things I knew already from the previous service so that I could save you time explaining them to me again... eg the engine light is on, the rear springs have slack etc. Otherwise the other things on the list were a wheel rotation and check the front bearings - but I understood that it was only if there was time in the allocated slot. That has nothing to do with how rude the staff were. Period.

Took our ranger here for a service and not only was the service extremely expensive, we were told that our bash plate had a bolt missing. When we took it to ARB down the road (as it was a special bolt) the guys there told us the plate was not re-installed correctly, a second bolt was missing and all of the bolts were loose. Poor workmanship as oil was all over everything. Also special mention to the owner/manager who was pretty rude and had the personality of a brick. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND and based on other reviews on various pages I should have done my own research as poor feedback is common with this business. Wish I could leave no stars.

Have taken my car here a few times and George has always given me the best advice and been super honest about what my car actually needs. I took it to a tyre place who told me the ticking on the tyre was due to the strut being stuffed. George and the team took a look and confirmed the tyre place had stacked the weights. Took one off and no more ticking 🤦‍♀️ reasonable pricing and upfront with estimates

I called up in regards to an issue with my car, I can't remember who I spoke with, but the guy was really helpful and forthcoming with information to point me in the right direction with what my car needed. I've clearly not had great experiences with other places, telling me to bring the car in, and charging me over $150 just to tell me they can't do anything about the issue. Thank you so much!!
