Miles Auto Electrical Service

Miles Auto Electrical Service is a family-run auto electrician business established in 1975. It began operations in a backyard shed in 1975. The team has over 90 years of combined experience, and Bruce is named as part of the team. The business serves the Mackay region and repairs most makes and models of vehicles. Its main services include auto electrical and air conditioning repairs, diagnostics, batteries, starter systems, towing solutions, and brake controls.

Miles Auto Electrical Service draws mixed feedback from customers in Mackay, with several praising the speed of turnaround on electrical repairs. Reviews regularly refer to jobs completed on time, including an alternator replaced the same day for a traveller and a forklift starter motor repaired within an hour of drop-off. Upfront information about costs is a point that comes up often, with one customer noting the estimated price was confirmed before extra air conditioning work proceeded.

Bruce is named favourably for explaining the additional costs and completing the repair the same day. Fault-finding on wiring and lighting is also noted, such as tracing a blown headlight during a larger electrical job. However, complaints recur about the air conditioning regas and wiring diagnosis, with accusations of incomplete repairs, a recurring fault after collection, and dents discovered after work.

Some reviewers also describe a long wait for bookings and a reception area that appeared untidy. Pricing disputes feature in the accounts, particularly a charge for soldering that was disputed and a regas where the gas escaped days later. Perceptions of how problems were handled vary, with some finding the responses dismissive. The mix suggests electrical repair and air conditioning work as the main themes, with the named staff member central to both praise and criticism.
