Total Mechanical

Total Mechanical is a mechanic business in Toowoomba. The business owners are James Cornford and Michael Telford, both mechanics. They completed their formal training at Wippells Autos and received specialist training in exclusive week-long diagnostic courses in Sydney. Xander Johnston is a qualified mechanic and Fixed Operations Manager.

Martin Holmes is a qualified mechanic and Master Technician, and a Mazda Master Technician. The business is a fully insured Government QFLEET agent. It specialises in Mazda and Subaru vehicles. The main scope of work includes Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Holden, Ford, Suzuki, Nissan, Kia and VW. Services include car servicing, mechanical repairs, and tyres.

Straightforward advice and work that matches what was actually needed define the experiences shared about this Toowoomba operation. Customers repeatedly describe being told plainly which repairs were essential and which could wait, with recommendations shaped around their budget and their level of understanding rather than a sales target. Jacob and James are named as the approachable faces behind the counter, and their readiness to look at an urgent problem on the spot, sometimes without an appointment, is a point that comes up often.

Diagnostic scanning and test driving to trace a fault are among the methods described, alongside general servicing, tyre work and mechanical repairs, while transmission matters were passed to a specialist. A willingness to sort out a minor issue that had not been raised, at no cost, features in more than one account. Vehicles are reported to run more smoothly after attention, pricing is considered reasonable for the standard achieved, and phone contact before and after the job reassures owners about progress. Long-standing patrons speak of trust built over years, and newer residents describe finally settling on a workshop they can depend on.
