I can't express enough just how much Thomas and Ian from the service department at Tynan Wollongong have made my experience so easy and extremely helpful dealing with them while my vehicle was having repairs made. The guy's had my Jeep in for a ABS module replacement and had the vehicle from start to finish. The part was on order from Jeep Australia who were absolutely NO help at all with any information or express delivery of this part, and being a regional customer with extensive health issues from Cowra NSW they Jeep Australia to me have very little knowledge of part ordering/delivery with NO customer service gratitude to even approve me for a loan vehicle were very quick to play the blame game. Thomas and Ian kept me updated every step of the way in the process of the part being delivered and fitted. I highly recommend these guy's for any repair or service to any vehicle. These guy's should be commended for excellence customer service 👏 👏👏
Thank you Decon for being intergral in the seamless purchase of my new tiggo 7 super hybrid. Questions were answered honestly and without hesitation. Highly recommend Tynan wollongong and Decon if you want to feel in control of such a significant purchase. Thank you.
DO NOT USE! Total rip off! Went in for free warranty work and got a $1300 bill with no notice or warning. Would have refused the service but they never even bothered to call or ask if I wanted to pay for it. The vehicle was hours late for a service I would not have gotten done for $1300. Terrible customer service and scam. Update: There was never an invoice showing any pricing or ever any approval to do any work outside of the warranty. That is the issue. Still no call back from the management after leaving message
Extremely disappointed with Tynan's service on our LDV Deliver 9 bus. The Issues: -Ongoing mechanical problems remain unresolved - Told to expect a 3-4 week wait with no timely triage to ascertain the fault - Zero communication - no updates or progress reports - Requested manager callback - never received one - Complete lack of customer service This level of service is unacceptable. I would expect a timely triage to identify the problem and provide some communication throughout the process. Cannot recommend.
Extremely poor attention to detail and safety from Wollongong Tynan Service. When booking my car in for its 5,000km service, I clearly noted that I had found a crack in one of the brake rotors. I also mentioned it again when I was called to confirm the price and the booking and handing over the keys. The booking had been made about a week in advance, so there was more than enough time to prepare or order parts if needed. After being told my car was ready for collection, I texted to ask if the rotor had been replaced. I was told they “could not find any crack or defect”. When I arrived, I asked the receptionist to come and look. Within seconds he could see the crack. A mechanic then came out with a torch and spent several minutes inspecting it before telling me it was “superficial” and that rotors sometimes get scrub marks. Only after they took the car back inside and put it on the hoist did they come back 20 minutes later to tell me there was a crack and that the car was unsafe to drive. So to summarise — a customer with zero mechanical background was able to identify a cracked brake rotor, point it out multiple times, and still had to convince the service department that it existed. A cracked brake rotor is a serious safety issue. This should have been picked up immediately during the service, especially after it was specifically flagged on three seperate occasions beforehand. Yes, they provided a loan car and said the part would be replaced under warranty. But that doesn’t change the fact that this issue was dismissed multiple times. A safety issue this obvious shouldn’t require the customer to prove it exists.
My Ram had a differential problem and was quickly diagnosed by the team supporting what I had thought. Parts were ordered quickly and even though they were booked out for a couple of weeks they rescheduled and got me in a few days later when I already had to be in Wollongong for medical reasons. I live 2 hours away. A full Diff assembly was installed and completed that day. So a great team effort from everyone but especially Ian, Illana, Thomas, Isaac and the Techs I didn't meet. Can't fault that sort of Customer Service. Cheers
