We called around 7pm on Friday needing a pre-purchase inspection at very short notice, and he was able to fit us in the very next morning, on a Saturday. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and took the time to answer all of our questions, which gave us a lot more confidence in buying the car. As we weren’t local, he even recommended a great place nearby to grab something to eat. These guys are simply amazing!!! They went above and beyond for myslef and my family who were broken down while stuck in Sydney on holiday. They worked all hours of the night and into the early hours of morning to get our alternator fitted. Can’t thank them enough or recommend them enough!!! Contacted Barry on Thursday morning and booked a pre-purchase car inspection on Friday for $290. Very prompt response. He sent over Efti who was slightly late to the 10:30am booking but so was I so no big deal. Efti was great, professional and friendly and looked over everything, took photos and videos, checked the engine, seatbelts, saw a flat tire, did computer scan and diagnosed a leak that would cause the engine to seize if it escalates. He explained the importance of things he found (i.e. common issue, scanned code not being an issue since the car key was reprogrammed and just the context of what it would mean for me). Went for a test drive with him and he gave more reassurance about no major parts needing replacement soon and some advice on what the value of the car could be to help me with my negotiation of the cost. He said he'll send over everything to Barry and I'd get a final report later. Within a few hours Barry messaged on WhatsApp and forwarded all the photos and videos taken, gave me a summary of the findings from the inspection and also quoted what it would cost to fix the leak. While I would have appreciated a more formal/professional inspection report, I understand that the way he does his business means he can respond quickly considering other services like Redbook do take more days to sort out a booking + a report. Also was able to clarify some concerns about the leak, whether it was a common issue or if it's something I'll need to keep an eye on and even some advice on the final negotiation price of the vehicle so I appreciated that since he was still very responsive despite it being late at night. Note that just like many experts in their field that get used to the technical jargon daily, many things they intially said went over my head so with some folllow-up questions on my end, he was happy to dumb it down for me so I can understand the implications. I appreciated their patience with my questions so definitely feel comfortable asking them to clarify if you don't understand this stuff easily.
