I had a fantastic experience with Midas ballarat . It is rare to find a mechanic you can truly trust, but they were completely transparent about the repairs needed and didn’t try to upsell me on services I didn’t need. My car is running perfectly now. I’ll definitely be coming back for all my future maintenance!

I’ve had my car serviced here twice and now it’s the only place I’ll go to in Ballarat, all the staff I’ve dealt with have been bloody lovely! 10/10, would absolutely consider breaking something in my car on purpose just so I can take it in again before my next service.
The team at Midas Ballarat went over and beyond to try and fix my overheating issue, but sadly it was unsuccessful. Owning a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland has its own issues, and not easy to work on.
Absolute scam artists. Go anywhere but here. I had 3 warning lights on my dashboard, two which would show sporadically. The owner of this store shut me down when I suggested it might be the grounding strap, which was a conclusion drawn after researching those warning lights. He rang me and said my spark plugs needed to be changed and I asked if he was sure that was the reason the lights on my dashboard were appearing. He said yes. So I agreed to having the work done. When I got the car back, all the lights were on once I left the store. I rang head office to explain that I don't trust the owner and would like a refund, as the work he did was not fit for purpose. It did not fix the dashboard lights. Head office didn't care and the owner rang me and said 'have toy seen your spark plugs'. I said that is irrelevant because they weren't the issue that was causing the dashboard lights to come on. He said he would run diagnostics and see what the codes are. I refused as he should have done that to begin with, rather than just guess what the problem is and do work outside of those codes. We are now heading to VCAT now and I standby my review. I wish I had of read the reviews before I put my trust in this business. I am now out of pocket $880, with a car that is still not fixed.
