I took my Saab turbo to Steve. And I told him one million times. The issue on the scan tool is a map sensor issue only pls fix the map sensor. He put his t2 scan tool on and charged me $240 cash , which I can say is fair enough. He brought the tool and the labour etc. I’m not doubting that at all. But when he tells me that now it is now not the nap sensor and it needs all new cim and keys and price will be $1600 cash and he said even he’s not even sure if this will fix the issue. This is where people get upset. I told him put the car on the street and park it. I’ll pay your $240 for a scan tool. I paid it. Then I took my Saab turbo to Howell automotive. A very very honest business. They replaced only the may sensor. For a fraction of the price and guarantee their work. So well done Howell automotive. I think I will continue to take my Saab turbo to Howell automotive. Howell called me many many times on the progress of the works. Made me feel happy. Parked my car in a safe place. Discussed my concerns in depth. And basically made me feel happy as a paying customer. Whereas Steve made me feel like a homeless person on the street. Chalk and cheese in customer service

My older generation Audi had a coolant leak and also a slow oil leak that another garage was unable to find the source of. Pricing estimate was fair and accurate, and the issues are now fully resolved. Highly recommend!!

We are from NSW and were on holidays towing our caravan around Tassie and broke down a week before Easter. Specialist Auto Group was the only workshop who would take on our repair. Michael booked us in and sourced a replacement transmission, Stephen the Hobart manager and Matt the mechanic looked after us with the change out, the cause of the transmission failure and a temporary fix to get us back on the road. We were really impressed with the their workshop standards and professional service. We couldn’t speak highly enough of them.

Very happy with the work done servicing my transmission on a Hyundai I 30 hatch (a +10 years old model) and the general car service as well which I also got squeezed in. Car now driving so much better!! Thanks to Steve, Michael and the team👍😊, I will be back again:)
