Fyshwick Auto Repairs (previously known as Ace Automotive Group)

Fyshwick Auto Repairs, previously known as Ace Automotive Group, is a mechanic in Canberra. It is an ACT/NSW Authorised Inspection Station. The business specialises in 4WD servicing and lift kits. It offers a money-back guarantee. Services include mechanical repairs, logbook servicing, brake repairs and replacements, suspension work, tyre repairs and replacements, clutch replacements, 4WD servicing and lift kits, and vehicle inspections for ACT/NSW compliance.

Vehicle owners in Fyshwick bring their cars, utes and the occasional motorcycle to this workshop for brake work, transmissions, tyres, inspections and general servicing, and customers writing about their orders describe being fitted in at short notice when something went wrong. A leaking coolant system, a failed clutch, a noisy front wheel and an alternator fault are among the jobs reviewers mention, with one driver especially grateful that a replacement clutch arrived and the car was returned within a day.

Reviewers repeatedly highlight clear communication, including explanations pitched at people who admit they know little about mechanics, and fair pricing that came in below expectations. Jay is named by more than one customer for squeezing a vehicle in and for installing a window motor on a Ford Focus, work described as done well and finished when promised.

Regulars note that they have returned for further servicing, and the workshop's thorough inspection reports and prompt repairs are mentioned as reasons for that loyalty. Expertise and advice, transparency about what is needed and a friendly manner with drivers passing through the region feature throughout the feedback, with one account of a diagnosis that reassured a customer the car was safe to drive home.
