Have been going to German Auto for years and always have a great customer service and have always taken great care of my vehicles. Would always recommend them for any European car servicing needs.
All the staff at German Auto were helpful from start to finish, patient and knowledgeable. I had a few issues with my VW Polo and was kept updated throughout, and what I really value was not feeling pressured to make quick decisions and each member of staff I spoke with took the time to explain each issue rather than making me feel silly. I’ll be booking back in for next service knowing my car and I will be well looked after. So pleased I can now drive the car without any worry that something is wrong in the background! Paul, Jeremy, Taylor and Harley were all super approachable and patient with my constant questions. Thanks heaps!
The team were really helpful before and during the process. They provided a detailed explanation of my issue and made it understandable for a non-mechanically minded person. They provided helpful options and suggestions on what to do next. They were also clear with the pricing and process up front. I would definitely recommend to a friend
Very happy with the service I received from German Auto. From the initial contact where I was talked with and listened to, I felt assured and confident in their approach to their business. They not only talked me through the major service but also checked other things like had the timing belt been replaced. Once they had my Tiguan they checked back when they discovered other stuff like the accessory belt and wiper blades which also needed replacing. A complete service with lots of communication. Even at pick up. I fully recommend them.
Just spoke with Tanya on the phone. She was rude and very unprofessional, I wanted my MK 4 Golf diagnosed but apparently they cant fix anything that old and won't run diagnostics if the customer wants to do their own repairs. This is a shame as they had great service when I spoke to them back in 2021. I would recommend steering well clear if you have an older European car.
Had my car in the workshop to have a coolant leak repaired. They said it was the water pump. They replaced the pump and gave it back. I opened the bonnet, they had filled it with the wrong coolant. I called them, they took the car back to "flush" the system and fill it with the correct coolant. When I got it back it was still leaking coolant this time from the upper radiator hose. I suggested that this probably happened while they were working on it otherwise it should of been replaced when they initially had it to repair the coolant leak. Either way they obviously didn't leak test the system after they replaced the pump. They then said that they wouldn't replace the hose unless I paid for it. Approx $400 and also told me hosing out the overflow was sufficient to "flush" the system of any of the incorrect coolant that remained. They offered a multi-stage flush for around $1200 which I declined as well as the hose replacement. I will take my car elsewhere for the repairs. I would avoid this place. They have poor attention to detail and if I didn't open the bonnet to investigate myself their "repairs" could of severely damaged my vehicle.
