A big thank you to Jamie and his Team for a superb job done on the suspension of my vehicle. Just moved to Brisbane from Darwin and was looking for a reliable and affordable car service. By stroke of good luck found Brisbane Automotive Mechanical near to my place. Had a chat with Jamie and booked my car for service on suspension. Result was an excellent job to my complete satisfaction. Cherry on the cake was the very fair price. I've been bringing my car(s) here for over a decade and keep coming back because of the honest, reasonably priced and professional service from Jamie and Sam. On the occasions when more than the standard service items have been needed (e.g. suspension checks revealing worn parts) they always call and give a fair appraisal of the urgency and the cost, and are always happy to discuss options for when and how best to address issues. Even though Brisbane Automotive and Mechanical is no longer my local (I moved some time ago) I will happily wear the extra train/bus/Uber rides to come to folks I know I can trust.

James and Sam took care of us and fixed the car as quickly as possible. We’re going back to get the other serviced.

The best experience I have had with a mechanic, great service with a quote over the phone, affordable and honest pricing, Jamie even took time out of his today to show me under my car and point out exactly what was wrong making it easy to understand. Further, providing me with trust in his work. Would recommended to anyone who wants an honest mechanic.

Hard to give a true rating. I stopped in hoping to get a service within a week, while curt the response was polite. 'No mate, wait list means you'll be waiting for weeks.' So the place must be good... And suffering from staff shortages like everywhere else these days. I went elsewhere... Update: I apologise to Brisbane Automotive (yes, you are next to Jaycar) for any distress caused. I did not mean that your response was anything but polite (as stated). My use of vernacular has obviously been taken too literally. I have fixed the punctuation to reflect this. My intent was simply to reflect a friendly statement that I'd be waiting weeks to get in so I had to go elsewhere. People should understand how successful and patronised you are and not interrupt your time if their required timeframe is less than a couple of weeks. You are correct in that the response I received was polite, professional and to-the-point.

Highly recommend! Jamie has been servicing my cars for 20 years & I cannot recommend him enough. If you’re after a great mechanic who takes time out of his day to explain mechanical issues in a language that’s understandable, Brisbane Automotive & Mechanical is your answer. 4 cars later, I’ve never had a mechanical breakdown or any unexpected issues & feel safe as a female driver knowing my car is reliable. Can’t beat hood old fashion service!!
