A-bout Auto Electrical

About Auto Electrical was established in 1991 by Mark Lee as a mobile business in Townsville. Mark Lee is the owner. The business opened its own workshop in Garbutt in 2004. About Auto Electrical has over 30 years of industry experience and is locally owned and operated. It is skilled in repairing passenger vehicles, four-wheel drives, trailers and caravans.

It is licensed to perform vehicle air conditioning repairs. It supplies automotive batteries by brands such as Hella, Lion Batteries and RedArc. It supplies and installs solar chargers and dual battery systems. It provides a full range of auto electrical repairs and services.

Vehicles that had defeated other workshops were sorted out at this Garbutt auto electrical business, with a persistent fault on a Landcruiser and a Redarc problem on a camper-trailer both traced and repaired. Mark is the name that recurs in accounts of the work, fitting one customer in at short notice, sourcing a part to fix a UHF radio issue and installing a code killswitch with a clear explanation of how it operated. An alternator replacement on a second car was handled promptly and carefully, while air conditioning repairs in a passenger vehicle drew thanks for fair and honest treatment.

Clear advice is a point that comes up often, including guidance about where to take a job that could not be taken on before Christmas, and customers describe being treated with kindness and respect throughout. Neat, tidy workmanship and a readiness to talk through what was done and why are mentioned again and again, along with value for money and quick turnaround on electrical servicing. The recurring impression is of a tradesman who explains faults in plain terms, follows through on what he promises and takes the time to get difficult diagnosis right.
