Chris Colgrave Automotive

Chris Colgrave Automotive is a locally owned and operated business established in 1997. It has followed its C.A.R.E. motto for over 20 years. The team has over 100 years of combined industry experience, and each staff member is a fully qualified motor mechanic. The business is a Honda specialist with a broad range of Honda parts, and it services all makes and models of vehicles.

It specialises in professional diagnostic testing. It is a TACC and RACT member and is recognised and accredited. It offers on-site inspections and free quotes. It serves the Launceston area. Services include car servicing and repairs, cooling system repairs, air conditioning servicing, exhaust system repairs, company vehicle maintenance, and brake and clutch servicing and repairs.

Chris Colgrave Automotive has built a reputation in Launceston for mechanical work that customers return to over many years. Regular servicing across different vehicle makes features prominently, with reviewers noting that jobs are finished properly and that the team takes time to talk through what is needed before any work proceeds. A recurring theme is the straightforwardness of the advice, including instances where owners were told honestly that a car was past saving and then helped through choosing its replacement.

Tim is mentioned frequently for the extra effort he puts in, while Jo and Harry are also named for their calm and capable manner. Motorists describe receiving clear estimates and prices they considered reasonable, along with prompt attention when they turned up without warning. Several accounts mention the workshop being left clean and orderly, and one customer recalls being driven to and from the premises while their car was being seen to. Older Commodores and everyday vehicles alike appear in these recollections, and the number of long-term clients suggests a business that keeps its regulars.
