4.4 / 5 · 74 totalI asked for an hourly charge breakdown for labour cost and Emma was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She is very condescending, arrogant and just treats customers like idiots. Be careful when dealing with this business as they overcharge and don’t like explaining how they got to a lump sum labour figure. Just be warned if you query something Emma will be on her high horse with a barrage of senseless dribble. They supply a figure with unknown break down or hourly cost. Rather than charging for time completed they put a ridiculous unexplained figure and hope customers pay. Very dodgy. They supplied a figure over $800 for labour saying it was $145 hour. But if the mechanic completed it in 2 hours then they still keep the remaining $500 rather than charging for time done like any other professional. Their explanation was extremely poor and their objective is to rip customers off and hope they done question the lump sum. As you can see they respond to their feedback trying to turn it back onto customers. None accepting of their poor and dodgy professional behaviour. I have since contacted others who charge per time completed and are open and honest unlike this business.
The team did 2 pre purchase vehicle inspections for me in the last two days while I've been looking for a car, one lemon and one winner. They were very easy to deal with, quick to book in with and very thorough. Took the time to answer all my questions and I could confidently go ahead with purchasing (or not!) the car
I will be recommending Townsville Mobile mevhanic to my friends . Sandro explained the issue in a way I understood. And he gave me good advice for future maintenance. The repair was done quickly, with no surprises. I was pleased with the price. — I wouldn’t hesitate to use their service again. Thanks Sandro.
Amazing job, had my ERG replaced on my Hyundai Imax as it had a pretty bad coolant leak. Without the work they did my vehicle would have been scrap. No issues with the customer service or the repair work. Awesome work and I will use them again if anything else goes wrong.
10/10 convenience 10/10 price 10/10 rapport. Car service and any repairs done under my carport. So Time saving as you just hand them the key and your not stuck somewhere without your car. Absolute pleasure. Patient, thorough with pics, so happy thank you. Regards Ryan K.
I had an excellent experience with Townsville Motor Mechanics. The service on my car was carried out thoroughly and to a very high standard. The team were not only professional but also extremely pleasant and polite to deal with, which made the whole process stress-free. It’s refreshing to find a mechanic who is both reliable and easy to communicate with. I’ll definitely be returning for future servicing and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality mechanical work in Townsville.
In October this company replaced rear brake rotors and brake pads. A few days later I called them and complained of a grinding noise when turning left. They returned 7 days after the initial job and test drove and inspected my car. They did not inspect the work they had previously done 7 days prior. Their diagnosis was that they ‘suspect’ the steering motor was on its way out, even though on the job card it said no damage to the steering system. I was told my not an urgent job, I was charged $110 for this diagnosis. Over the next 3 weeks the noise got worse. I took it to another mechanic and upon removing the rear wheels to inspect the rear brakes they found the inner pads on BOTH sides were not fitted correctly. The pads have a locator pin that needs to line up with any 1 of 4 notches in the piston on the brake caliper which was not done. This was causing uneven pressure which caused the pads to drag due to not releasing properly. Once fixed, the noise was gone. I contacted Townsville mobile mechanic and told them of the issue that they had caused and requested a refund on my diagnosis. Their response was that they stick by their initial diagnosis and would not be refunding me and that I had driven my car for a considerable amount of time, and when calling the mechanic back, I did not mention any problem with the brakes. I made a post on our local page warning people of this company. The owner, Sandro, then proceeded to comment on my post blaming me and saying things along the lines of ‘she never gave us the chance to take responsibility’ (first chance was the call back, second chance was contacting them after I saw the second mechanic, (as if I would give them a third chance), and ‘she didn’t say there was an issue with the brakes when the mechanic came back’ and ‘she never provided a report from the mechanic just demanded money’ (I emailed them the report from the second mechanic), one minute commenting that the mechanic heard a noise and on another comment saying they didn’t. Literally made a fool of himself for hundreds of people on Facebook to see and contradicting himself. He ended up calling me dodgy. Who seems like the dodgy one here?
